With a camera in hand, we give voice to teenagers so that they can express their views and experiences around human rights.
Young Greeks and refugees from the center of Athens participate in a series of participatory video workshops and create a documentary. They make their issues visible and offer opportunities for dialogue.
They join their voices to have their rights heard, both in Greece and beyond!
Our goal is to promote human rights, inclusive art, intercultural dialogue, and social inclusion.
Teenagers learn about child rights, storytelling, and video creation. They express themselves, defend their rights, and their voices resonate in our hearts!
Greek and refugee teenagers from the center of Athens gain access to culture, promote intercultural dialogue, and defend human rights.
Starting with an experiential human rights education workshop for young people, the young participants place themselves and their respective experiences on a collective advocacy map of their rights.
Regardless of their origin, our participants are actively involved in the creative process of producing a short documentary thanks to a series of participatory video workshops. They are able to develop critical and analytical thinking skills, as well as learn video production techniques regarding the writing, shooting, and editing of their film, all focused on children’s rights.
Young people choose to share their personal experiences, including shocking stories and testimonies of violations of children's rights. Now they narrate themselves with courage and a personal tone. They claim rights on behalf of other young people who cannot speak.
Adolescents create, empower, sensitize, express, and claim.
They represent the new multicultural generation that promotes justice and love, hopes, and shows the way to others through creativity, arts, and culture.
With this campaign, we invite you to join an intercultural dialogue that inspires new possibilities based on solidarity and justice.

HARMONIC COEXISTENCE AND FAIR TREATMENT
THROUGH THE CREATION OF ART THEY CREATE
A SAFE ENVIRONMENT TO
TELL THEIR STORIES
Experiential participatory video workshops with a therapeutic and ethnopsychological approach through art, offering Greek and refugee adolescents safe conditions to share their experiences and views on human rights.
We create a strong sense of acceptance, inclusion, mutual respect, and self-esteem, as the team members are strengthened separately and collectively. Participatory and inclusive projects allow them to gain access to the mysteries of art and documentaries.
CREATIVE FLOW
DIFFERENT STORIES
Aiming to promote the social inclusion and empowerment of vulnerable groups in the creative and productive process, the young creators collaborated exceptionally well and developed unique friendships.
The personal stories and opinions that emerged, along with a feeling of compassion and solidarity, complemented each other in an organic and natural way. The adolescents chose to convey truly strong messages and stories to sensitize both Greek and European citizens, as well as fellow citizens from their countries.
FREEDOM OF CHOICE
CREATIVE PRODUCTION
Participatory video (PV) acts as a "cleansing" in an art therapy process, as it enables the participant to make choices and take initiatives that are often not allowed at home, at school, or in society.
We give adolescents the opportunity to express themselves in front of the camera, to choose subjects, frames, shots, and especially the content. With each choice of frame, they acquire the power to express and be heard, and to create and to emerge from the margins of the society where they might be. It thus allows vulnerable participants to regain some of their dignity and freedom.
PARTICIPATORY VIDEO
A STRONG TOOL FOR COLLECTIVE ACTION
With a focus on human rights, adolescents tell their stories or their views and highlight their real concerns. They are defending their rights in the name of the children of the world.
We achieved community capacity building by strengthening the team. The team has increased its collective self-esteem and awareness, and they will continue to promote group initiatives aimed at social change.
